Day 335

1.-5. Today, I made croissants! I bought the butter and flour that Cooks Illustrated recommended several weeks ago and I've been waiting for the perfect day. Today was the perfect day. Ali provided the incentive to make them and we ate them together when she came over for a visit. Wish I had gotten a picture! Also, by the third picture, they were quite tough to roll out!
Also, planted some bulbs, spent some time with Bessie Dearest, and that evening, Mom and I attended the first Ladies Night Fellowship at the Poindexters. It was fun.

Day 333

At the zoo with Diana, my new friend from Bolivia!
Diana is visiting our friend Patricia (from church) and I invited myself over to hang out with them.
Diana cooked an amazing lunch, along with rice pudding. Then we went to the zoo, and then came back for Hot Chocolate and a Bolivian version of cheese biscuits. It was a fantastic time!

Day 305

A mural at the local Stillhouse where Sara and I enjoyed drinks together in the evening. No, I don't have a multi personality disorder. She and I spell our name the same way. One of many signs that she has impeccable taste. She got something grapefruity/citrusy and I got a Fireball Cinnamon Whiskey. Which was amazing.

At lunch time, we hosted two business colleagues of Dad's who flew up from LA.
And then left for piano and errands.

Day 198

1. The processing trailer all set up. We hosted/helped present a  class on how to processing your own chickens today through OSU.
2. Laura from OSU talking about new regulations
3. Some table decorations
4. PIGS! (technically this should be old news as I got them on Saturday, but I haven't had a chance yet to blog about Saturday, so here they are!) Our new night time entertainment is watching them eat dinner.... and our morning one was watching them try and snooze in the sun. There's four of them, they all want to lie in a row, and no one wants to be on the end! So each one took turns realizing he was on the end, would get up walk around and then plop down on top of the middle two. Then a minute later, the next one would repeat the process. It was amusing.
5. What else? Spending the day getting ready for the class, giving a little farm tour, making ice cream  with Rebekah F (oh yes, they were visiting!) for afterwards, making watermelon lemonade (yum!), saying goodbye to Rebekah, having dinner with the class and teachers, cleaning up, farm chores, Jason and Ellen arriving (yay!).
